About Your Privacy

1. I take privacy very seriously - both mine and yours. 2. Your e-mail address will never be passed on or sold to anybody else for any reason. I have many subscribers on my lists and not a single issue has occurred to date - and I intend to keep things that way. 3. I have a ZERO tolerance for spam.

What Information do I collect, and why?

1. Number of visits to my website My website uses Google Analytics (a free service by Google) to register visitors. This allows me to see how many people are visiting my website and how many people are signing up to my offer. This helps me assess whether my offer is valuable enough to my visitors. I use this information to change my offer accordingly in order to meet the demand of my visitors. For information on what Google Analytics is and does click here. 2. E-mail addresses The sign up form on the website requires that you enter your e-mail address. This information is required because I offer information which I choose to deliver by e-mail. Your e-mail address enables me to send my information to you. Your e-mail address will never be passed on or sold to anybody else for any reason.

What happens to your e-mail address?

Once you sign up to my offer, your e-mail address becomes part of a 'list' (this is the name given to it). The list is used by the program that sends my e-mails. In other words, your welcome e-mail and any other information is sent by the program to you and every other subscriber.

This process is automated. Whilst I do have access to my own list, I don't sit there looking at thousands of e-mail addresses. This would be: a) a huge time-consuming task, b) pointless, c) a strange thing to do, in my opinion.

What happens once you sign up?

Once you sign up to my offer, you will receive an e-mail asking you to confirm your intention to join my list. This is a legal requirement and it protects both you and me. After you confirm, you will receive whatever offer or information you signed up for as well as anything else that was promised during the sign up process. After that, you may receive some communication from me every so often. I e-mail my list with information that I think may be helpful and / or informative, promotions that I think are relevant to them and, whenever possible, links to free information that offers value to them in some way. Some links may be affiliate links. This means that I may be affiliated to a promotion, which in turn means that each time somebody visits the promotion after clicking my affiliate link, I potentially make a small commission whenever the visitor purchases the promotion or takes some action which the promoter deems is payable by commission. However, as I already stated, I aim to keep any promotion relevant to the list. So for instance, if the list consists solely of people who subscribed to business information and there's a promotion on a business product or service in the market that may be relevant to them, I may communicate this to the list. In some cases, I may be affiliated to the promotion (if I join up to be an affiliate). Please keep in mind that you have no obligation whatsoever to sign up to or purchase any promotion. You may simply receive news about a promotion which may interest you. If it doesn't, simply ignore it.

Does somebody regulate my communication? Yes!

The service I use to collect data is Mailchimp. They store the list in their servers and provide the mechanism for me to contact my subscribers. mailchimp have very strict terms and conditions, and it is in their best interest to ensure that everybody who uses their service adheres to their code of conduct (which are completely anti-spam). You can see Mailchimp's privacy policy here <-- click the link.

Can you opt-out at any point? Yes, of course you can! And right away!

If you wish to opt out of my list for any reason, you can simply click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of my e-mails. The unsubscription mechanism is automated. Once you click unsubscribe, follow the instructions and your details will be removed from the list. If for some reason you're having difficulties with the way the opt-out process works (this is provided by Aweber and should be very simple to use) then you can contact me directly via my Contact Form <-- click the link to be taken to my contact page. Please send me an e-mail with your request to opt-out, as I need this in writing. I aim to reply to all my e-mails in a timely manner, but please remember that I'm also human and 'things' also happen to me. So be patient and your e-mail will be answered (unless it's abusive in some way). If you have any further queries about anything else, please use my contact form.
